This unit plays bluetooth music and call audio using the external CD changer port to communicate with your factory radio. The unit also has a USB port to play music off of a memory stick, a USB adapter for iPhones is also available. This unit also comes with a microphone for phone calls. (a factory fit microphone is also available for purchase below.)

Sold addition to stock stereo – Great Price/Product. I’ve installed one of these in a MKIV Jetta and one in a Golf. Really painless as far as car stereo installs go(you only need to strip one wire for the ground) to a factory stereo. It takes the place of a CD changer and allows you to access your phone for music and calls. Music fidelity is great. In the GLS models you can use the steering wheel controls to access songs or answer/end calls. Make sure you update the Firmware(use a usb flash drive) or install a USB extension cable to future updates.

The only reason that it isn’t 5 Stars is the instructions are a bit vague on hooking up the mute line. For a novice, this requires some research and honestly, once the pin was located, the connector on the pin didn’t really fit. Jerry rig, tape, etc and it all works. I understand that they can’t do separate instructions for every possible car model, but at least some suggestions for a novice installer, beyond “connect to mute pin” would get this to a 5 star item. Great Addition for older cars! – I’ve had this installed for a few weeks now, absolutely love it so far. 2005 VW Passat GLX Wagon with full factory radio system.
Installation was very easy, took less then 15 min. I watched Enfigs great videos beforehand, a huge help. One issue, there is a radio mute connection that does not fit the factory radio, I contacted Enfig and they sent me a video of how to replace the connector, which involved cutting off the old one and attaching a new connector to the wire. I only wish I had known before I took the whole car apart that I would need to do this. Also was hard to find the right connector.
The adaptor is great, sound quality is fantastic for music and phone calls. People say that I sound clear and loud. It is ready to go within a few seconds of turning the radio on. Does not work without the radio on. Also, does not automatically continue playing music when getting back into the car. Overall 4 stars. I would recommend this highly, great addition to the car!

Great Device, Installation More Difficult than Expected but Doneable – The device is steaming good quality bluetooth especially after firmware update. The hardest part of the installation was finding all the YouTube videos. Watch the Posi-tap video on that Enfig product page when grounding your new device to the current ground wire. The mute cable does fit without having to pull the purple pin but you have to carefully move the other wires out of the way first and really line it up. Once aligned, push until you hear a click. Running any kind of wires out of the stereo are is difficult in the Touareg and requires special tools. I just ran the mic out the front corner of the stereo and tucked it into the crevasse doing up to the center dash. It’s a snug fit but works and looks fine. I would not recommend running the direct connection cables to the device. Charge your iPhone or Android device with USB car charger and stream via bluetooth. Makes installation much easier and no real benefit to direct connect. Just do firmware update before placing behind stere

Praise for the Dension GBL_3VW1 and Enfig! – This unit has exceeded all my expectations! sound quality on music playback through my Monsoon system (ipod with apple losses formatted music hrough a wired connector) and speaker/microphone quality is really good. Automatic mute function (mute the music when a call comes in, etc) works great too. Easy to install….Enfig’s videos as well as my quick phone call with a question about the mute wire were super helpful and accurate. Honestly the hardest part of the install was getting my old Blitzsafe ipod adapter (also purchased from Enfig, several years ago) unplugged from the back of the Monsoon unit!

Great product, even better service – The unit works as advertised. Before I installed this unit I had a wired interface that was extremely buggy. This unit, however, is very reliable, has great sound quality, and doesn’t have any weird quirks. Enfig’s customer service is also top notch. They actually answer the phone and give you a personalized support experience. The only negative is that my unit came with a “radio mute wire” that is supposed to be inserted into the vehicle’s stock wiring harness, but there was absolutely no instructions about this whatsoever in the package. A quick phone call pointed me to the appropriate YouTube video, but it should have been included in the package. But because of the performance of the product and Enfig’s stellar customer service, I’m still giving it 5 stars.

Its fully functional with that phone. Install was easy once I researched what the ground and mute wires were for. There is no mention of these in the directions. Seamless Fit – I ordered this unit for my 08 Passat based from Enfig based on how easily I installed a similar Dension adapter in my B6 S4. This one installed in about 20 minutes. Hardest part was simply flipping up the latch on the factory harness – so let’s just say it was easy. Mic routes easily to the center of the dash and the phone call quality from my Iphone was excellent. Streaming audio sounds excellent and it works exactly as intended.

2nd Dension BT gateway from Enfig – This is my second Dension BT gateway purchased from Enfig and is for a 2005 VW Jetta Mk4 that has a premium factory stereo with steering wheel controls. After a year using my Dension dual bluetooth setup on the first car it was an easy decision to buy another one for this Jetta I just acquired. I stand by everything I wrote in those reviews because there’s no better value for running the audio from my phone (for voice calls & GPS) and my music simultaneously and I’m still quite happy with the functionality.
On a technical note, I did not connect the radio mute wire as I prefer to manually mute the music when necessary. The rest of the time, I just keep the volume adjusted so the GPS voice directions can be heard above the music. Regarding the Dension microphone, I decided not to waste time running the wire behind the trim all the way up to the visor. Instead I have it mounted near the instrument cluster on both of my cars and the wire enters the dash next to the steering column in each case. I found it most convenient to just attach the mic to the turn signal stalk on the VW.

Easy – I had this installed in 30 minutes. You have to be willing to take the under dash out of the way and run the mic up to the headliner, but that’s the hardest part. I placed my denison unit in the glovebox running the wires up behind. All too easy. It works great. I do wish it would be a little more Android friendly. Voice activated search is not possible but you can click the phone and say “Okay Google,” and the mic will work then. The sound is very good and I have no complaints about that.

Easy to install and works great! – I bought this unit for my MK4 Jetta GLI and I had no previous experience taking apart a car. I had to buy radio keys and look up videos on how to remove the radio, but after some research I was able to easily install the Bluetooth unit! It took me about 15-20 minutes to figure it out, but anyone who knows how to remove the radio on a MK4 volkswagen will have this unit installed in under 5 minutes. All you do is remove the radio (carefully unplug all wires, and swap out the corresponding wire harness) and plug the unit into the back of the head unit and put the unit inside any open hole in the car and put the radio back in. It’s all plug-n-play. Now for operation, connect to bluetooth, password is “8888” and it’ll play like it came from the factory. I highly recommend this unit for anyone who is a fan of staying as OEM as possible.

Highly recommend – Allowed me to keep the stock look of my 2008 VW GLI while also having the ability to use bluetooth on my iPhone 5 with my steering wheel controls. Can also play music from USB, but is annoying in that it only selects from the first four root folders on an installed USB drive.
Install was straightforward:
1) Removed dashboard panels on my 2008 VW GLI per youtube videos.
2) Had to splice ground wire from GBL3VW1 unit into existing ground wire, as well as insert mute wire connection into Quad Lock stereo connector. Finally, unplug existing CD changer connection and plug in GBL3VW1 plug and play connection in its place. There are videos for all of this. I routed the wiring from behind the stereo to inside of the glovebox, where the GBL3VW1 is located.
3) Reinstall everything and update firmware with USB drive (go to Dension website for firmware).

Just works – This is a pretty simple “plug n play” device. It’s really build for Bluetooth in mind. It’s possible to add AUX input to it or load songs onto a USB thumb drive, and you can even connect your iPhone to it with the correct adapter, but you cannot have all these options. As I said, it’s really for Bluetooth. What’s even cooler is that it uses your cars skip forward and backward buttons to answer and end calls. I’m very happy.

Thanks to Enfig for excellent service, quick shipping and awesome YouTube videos that convinced me I could install it myself. I used the Enfig supplied Dension GBL3VW1 to add Bluetooth for music and voice calls to the existing head unit (Premium 7: CQ-EV1467G) in my EOS.
This was after my first attempt to replace the whole head unit with a cheap Android unit from China. That didn’t work out so well as the Android would completely drain my battery if the car was left parked for 48 hours. And while I called it a cheap Android unit, I meant poorly built, but expensive. I installed in a 2003 Passat with Monsoon audio deck. I used the RRK2/RRK4 keys for removal, with one corner being a bit troublesome. From starting removal of the deck to functional test of the whole setup was about 10 minutes. It was freakishly easy and works great! The steering wheel controls advance tracks on Spotify or my iTunes playlist and can adjust volume. Hands-free calls are originated from the phone but are clear in both directions with the supplied mic and using vehicle speakers. After I tested everything, I took a bit more time for packaging the unit (braced with bubble-wrap to prevent dashboard rattle) and routing the aux cable and microphone. I can’t believe it took me this long to install this.

Amazing product, speed, and price – I got a Bluetooth adapter for my VW Touareg and it’s fantastic. Enfig was the only place on earth with one in stock AND they were still selling it for a fair price. EXCELLENT!!! This is the best company to buy from because you can pick up the phone and call them and speak with someone who is very helpful.
I had a problem with the bluetooth connection because I didn’t realize that my iPhone software needed to be updated. Then it took me a few minutes to realize that the ground wire had become disconnected. Once I updated my phone and made sure the ground wire was connected solidly, everything worked great.

This unit installed very easily! Just follow the Utube vid and and you’ll be done fast. The stock radio on my 2004 VW Touareg sounds great with the blue tooth and streaming music from Spotify and Pandora. Very pleased with Enfig!

Completed the Dension install in about an hour on my ‘05 Passat with the Monsoon system. Followed provided instructions and everything went as planned. Everything needed was in the box, and as I had seen some of the Enfig videos on YouTube, had no problems at all. Well worth the price, got to keep my OEM system and now can listen to my music, not constantly trying find decent FM stations, which is difficult!! No more commercials! Thanks Christian!

Can’t believe how fast the guys shipped it ..awesome work fellas … The OEM monsoon systems are a very systems and do sound great …well to me anyway ..but always lacked the abilities of the more modern units ..this add on takes care of that ..plus with adding the optional mic in the roof makes for a true factory touch ..thanks again.
Will add one thing when pairing my phone to the unit ..neither of the suggested pass codes worked ( 0000 or 1234 ) used 8888 and it connected lickety split .. thought this detail might help someone in the future.

Fantastic product, best price any where .. Honestly couldn’t believe how fast it arrived …it was lightning quick . Worked great on my 2004 Jetta until 6 months passed and it just stopped working. Reaches out to Enfig about it but they couldn’t help. Little disappointed. Especially because of the price tag.

You do know that we are not amazon and you have at least a one year warranty on everything we sell. And you can send products back to be bench tested even after your warranty is up. We have have been selling this item for a long time and have almost zero issues. That’s why we sell it. They made the factory adapter for Volkswagen. I have not has any support calls for this unit in a few months. We put our phone number and email on the top of every page so we are easy to get ahold of. Why leave a one star review without asking for help first? Where id you ground the unit? Does your radio say CD5 song 99 after pressing the CD button? If no check ground. If yes then what pin code did you use to connect to the unit. The pincode is in the user guide section 7 (connecting a phone) Line 4. 8888. If a unit doesn’t work please give it a one star review.
