Buy This Mic – ’06 Passat B6. Fits perfectly. Took a bit to find the right data online to pull down the control panel to get to the built in mic slot, but once I figured it out, it fit perfectly. Sound quality is excellent. Christian’s video for similar model VW’s helped in running the cable across the windshield and down the A pillar. Different models, being, well, different models the last bit across the glove box and to the Dension box took a bit of creativity. All in all 5 stars.

2009 Jetta MIC-VW1 – SPH-DA120 Installation, premium 7 removed – Easy installation directed by your video. A little confused as to the placement of the microphone – as configured it fits perfectly in the overhead fixture as the tabs only allow it to be aligned one way. When I read comments on the web some say it should point down, some towards the windshield, your video shows it pointing at the driver/passenger. In any case, it works and is hidden, which was the goal.

Mic-VW1 – The mic is easy to mount in a VW Golf 6. Works verry well with a Alpine headunit and Bluetooth module (kce-420bt). The cable of the KCE-420 is modified with a mono jack socket on the end of the cable. Only the housing of the mic doesn’t fit 100%. The hooks on the ground plate, where the mic is pushed in. Maybe it’s possible for Enfig made some adjustments in the 3D-printed housing.

Simply Amazing – I purchased this for use with the Kenwood DMX-7704s after hearing Christian mention it in one of his install videos. When he mentioned it, he didnt specifically say it would work with Kenwood. Well, it works brilliantly. Install took all of about 10 minutes and i replaced the stock Kenwood mic with this unit. I called a few friends who had previously complained about how it sounded like i was in a cave talking to them and they both said the difference was night and day.
So, if you not only want a mic that is hidden out of the way but also picks up better than the one that came with your head unit, you cant go wrong with this one.

Perfect! – I wanted to update the radio/stereo head in my 2013 VW CC as the system was clunky and I really wanted an updated unit. During the process of purchasing new equipment I found out that I couldn’t use the OEM backup camera and would have to use an aftermarket unit – Bummer! During my YouTube search on how to replace the camera I came upon the install videos of Enfig Car Stereo. Not only was Christian doing an install on a 2013 CC, but he was using the OEM camera! I called immediately and he seriously hooked me up. He had everything I needed for the install, I didn’t have to cut one wire and everything worked as it should. Seamless install – I learned about the Enfig MIC-VW1 when I was upgrading the stereo in my 2013 Passat. I had already purchased the remainder of the installation gear from another vendor. I did not like the appearance of the aftermarket Mic included with the stereo.
I was impressed with Christian’s Enfig installation videos. My order arrived within a couple of days and my installation was just as easy as the video. Christain’s tip on removing the passenger’s side a-pillar cover most likely saved me from tons of frustration. I have had the product for a little over a month and it has performed great.

Perfect Solution – I paired this microphone with a new Pioneer DMH-2660NEX. I carefully removed the stock microphone and zip tied to a cable inside the headliner. This microphone clipped right into the space vacated by the OEM microphone. Plenty of cable length to run to the back of the head unit. Sound quality seems to be as good as the OEM unit. This is a great addition. It fit in the OEM mic location perfectly. If I hadn’t installed it myself, I wouldn’t know it was there. Granted I tried to clip it in backward a couple of times before I discovered the error of my ways, the correct direction pops in easy, if you have to force it, you’re doing it wrong. Christian’s youtube video walked me running the wire with ease, do yourself a favor, and use the zip-tie as he did. I tried numerous other methods before looking for one (or two) to use.
I haven’t tested to hear how I sound through it personally, but the wife had no complaints when I called her, four thumbs up there. Siri understood me well enough to dictate text messages via Carplay so It must be an excellent mic!
