If you would rather purchase the parts separately they are listed below.

1.  Radio mounting kit

This kit is designed to hold a standard double din radio.  It holds the radio in place and also fills the open space left after removing your radio.  It is painted to match the finish of your dashboard.  This fits all navigagation and non navigation radios.

2. Radio Wiring harness

This harness connects to your factory wiring to allow you to install an aftermarket radio.  It also has the electronics to translate your factory steering wheel controls for use with a new radio.

The steering wheel control programmer is needed to tell the wiring harness what radio you are installing. 


3. Plug and Play Converter (optional but strongly recommended)

Converts the connector on harness 1 into a connection specific to your radio.

4. AM/FM Antenna adapter

This adapter converts the factory connector.  It is also the correct color for easier installation.

5. Aftermarket Microphone for factory location (optional)

Every E46 has a factory microphone location in the overhead lights.  You can put this microphone in place of the factory one for use with your new radio.  If you have a convertible with the mic in the steering column use the mic-BM2

6. SiriusXM Antenna Adapter (optional)

If your car has factory SiriusXM this adapter allows you to reuse the factory antenna.

7. GPS Antenna Adapter (optional)

If your car has a factory GPS antenna you can can use the adapter to use it with your new radio. Most wireless carplay radios use a GPS antenna.
