Plug and Play Kits – non Fender Audio

These first speaker and amplifier kits only work with cars that do not have Fender audio with an amplifier under the drivers seat. VW1-T is the rear speaker kit. VW2-T is the front speaker kit.

The 2019-2023 Volkswagen Atlas has an underwhelming audio system.  The main problem is the radio not producing enough power.  I assume the radio is underpowered to protect the speakers from damage at high volumes. We offer 3 Different upgrades to help with this problem.  

Plug and play amplifier  Increases the power output of the radio to make everything louder.  It also has a built in DSP to improve the audio quality coming out of the radio.  The amplifier includes a microphone that listens to the sound coming out of your speakers and automatically tunes your audio.

Plug and Play Speakers While the amplifier makes everything sound more powerful the speakers bring clarity and volume to the audio system.  Our speaker kits connect to your factory wiring so the installation is done without cutting a single wire.

Subwoofer Your factory speakers are not made to produce deep bass.  The radio actually removes some of the frequencies that produce bass to protect the door speakers.  When adding a subwoofer to any factory audio system it’s important to use a Bass Restoration device.  For our sub kit we use the Kicker Key 500.1 because it has the bass restoration built into the amplifier.  If you are using a bigger amplifier we recommend the kicker KEYLOC.  For a subwoofer we recommend the Kicker down firing dual 10″ box.  It has one working woofer and a passive radiator.  Passive radiators enhance a speaker’s bass by using air pressure from the main woofer to vibrate the passive one.  Because its down firing you throw your groceries on top of it without damaging the speaker.

We don’t recommend spare tire subwoofers because you lose a lot of sound quality through the carpet.  But if you want to shake your car the JBL Bass Hub Pro paired with a Kicker KEYLOC is the way to go.

Front Speaker use VW2 Speaker Mounting Rings
Rear Speakers use VW1 Speaker Mounting Rings
The Tweeter adapters are used to replace the front tweeter and to add tweeters to the rear door.  All rear doors have the hole and mounting for a tweeter.
