Installed an aftermarket radio about a month ago and was having issues with the provided mic since day one. Stumbled across a YouTube video where someone installed a mic from Enfig. It had very good reviews and I also liked how it kept the OEM look, so I decided to give it a try. The mic works perfect and solved the issues I had with the original. The Enfig mic for my 2008 911 was just awesome! I watched the videos on the Enfig website abbnd a very simple install. My comparison calls with the mic that came with the head unit I had installed by someone and the new Enfig mic, no doubt the Enfig.mic in the stock factory position was much clearer and better volume reported on the other end. Definitely glad I made the switch for the hidden position and got better performance as well!
