Cars with a digital CD changer input
All BMW CD changers had a 3pin connector for power and data. Then they had a 6 pin for analog audio. They also had a single for digital audio.
The easiest way to check to see if you car has a digital CD changer input is to check your CD changer. If your CD changer only has a 3 pin and a 6 pin connected to it from the factory then you DO NOT have a Digital CD changer input. If it only has a 3 pin and round 1 pin then you definitely have a digital CD changer input and need an extra part. If it has all three then you need to disconnect the one pin and the 6 pin to see which one carries the audio.
If you do not have a CD Changer. you have to connect this device to you car. If the radio recognizes it and you do not have any audio you probably have a digital CD changer input.
Addons
Dension LIA1GW0- This adapter converts the round 9 pin connector on the blue box into a female for your iPhone cable.
Enfig MIC-BM1 – Factory fit microphone for better sound quality and a stealth installation. Most cars have this location next to the overhead lights. When connecting in the trunk you will need an extension. If possible I recommend connecting behind the radio.
Enfig MIC-BM2 – Factory fit microphone for better sound quality and a stealth installation. Some Convertibles have this on the steering column. If possible I recommend connecting behind the radio.
Dension CABL-AUX – This adapter converts the round 9 pin connector on the blue box into a male 3.5MM AUX
PPT12345 – These are the tools we use to remove dash panels.

Super easy to install. Once paired, it connects automatically, pauses (in my case) Pandora automatically when car shut off.
I used free shipping and it was here in 4 days ( to CA ).
Great purchase and I’d definitely buy Enfig again.

Works beautifully for music, and took less than 5 minutes to install. Have not yet got it to work with phone calls, as I do not want to have to pull out the head unit to plug in the microphone…..(my car does not seem to be prewired with a mic)

Hello Rainer,
I think you misunderstood how this device works. The BMTS-BTU connects in the trunk. It comes with its own mic and does not use the factory microphone. I’m not sure why you think you have to remove the radio. Please contact us if you need any clarification.

Easy installation and everything worked perfectly the first time! I had one question when I couldn’t find one of the connections and I got an immediate response with where to look and sure enough there it was and super smooth process after that.

If you have an e46 and you want to keep your stock deck to maintain the aesthetic I 100% recommend this product. I bought this for my 330xi and it’s amazing, it plugs right into the 6 cd changer cords in the trunk with out any hassle, even if your car doesn’t have the cd changer it has the plugs for this product. I personally didn’t want to buy a modern deck for my car because it just clashes with the look of the interior. This product let me keep the original deck and I can still us the CD player. My only regret is not buying it sooner. I’d give it 10/5 every single day of the week

I have a owned my 2003 330ci for 20 years and was never able to find a way to set up bluetooth comms and streaming until I found this product. AWSOME! Easy to install and connects flawlessly. It came with a mic that I had to snake to the front from the trunk (where I installed the device). I believe it could have connected to the back of the receiver but I chose the trunk.
