Great Product & Great Service – Installed the XAV-AX100 in an E46 BMW. Installation was straightforward and greatly aided by the YouTube video. The unit works really well, especially the Apple CarPlay. The equalizer function is also very powerful. The hardware seems to be well made. Simple, Fast, Easy – I love my E46, I love looking at it, and I love driving it. However listening to music in my E46 always felt like a chore. The OEM stereo while fine for its time is extremely dated and lacks modern convienences that we have become accustomed to. I implemented solutions like installing an Auxiliary cable, and Bluetooth adapters, but always felt kind of jealous when I was in one of my friends newer cars with fancy infotainment systems. So I decided it was time for an upgrade.
Enfig provided the tools and know how to easily install this Sony headhnit in my car. It only took about an hour and the video instructions were easy to follow. Now I have android auto and Apple CarPlay in my e46. Now people can get jealous when they see my new setup. Great products, fast service, and great instructions. You can’t ask for anything else. If you are on the fence about buying this, do it! You won’t regret it!

Wow – New car features in my favorite ride! – My son found this kit for me with encouragement from my wife.
I’ve had my 2002 M3 convertible for 16 years and it’s a blast to drive, but I found myself noticing more and more in recent years how well the new car stereos integrate with my iPhone when I’m on a business trip. I’d miss driving my car on the trips, but the stereo and speakerphone options were really nice.
We found Christian’s YouTube video instructions for this Sony XAV-AX100 unit and were convinced it was a perfect upgrade for my M3. We received the “kit” package for E46 and installed it the same night. We had one small question that Christian, “the guy in the video,” cleared up for us within the first 2 minutes of our phone call. He said he would re-label the wire in question more clearly after hearing about our confusion.
A great guy to talk to and the unit … with enfig’s custom wiring harness and brackets … was amazingly easy to install and looks like original equipment.

Sony Stereo – I got the Sony XAV-AX5000 to replace my old stereo, and just give my car a general upgrade. Enfig made the install very simple and very quick, especially with their youtube videos online. I watched the video provided online and followed everything he did step by step. I had a small issue in the beginning, but it was nothing Christian couldn’t help me with. I gave him a call and he helped me within minutes. If you are debating between a stereo from Enfig and a stereo from some other company, I would highly recommend going with Enfig. Their customer service was awesome and the stereo itself was basically plug and play. I would definitely recommend their products and services to a friend or to anyone wondering what they should do.

Works well – It worked on my 1999 E46 328i. The connectors and brackets were easy enough to figure out. The YouTube video was really helpful. It was not mentioned in it but you have to connect Antenna wires (blue) together.
I actually made a mistake when I ordered 1 button kit vs. 5 buttons. Mine was 5 buttons even though it looked 1 button. If there is a slit right beside a button (my case ASC), yours needs 5 buttons. (I ended up crafting a lid.) I guess 1st gen of E46 needs 5 buttons.
Overall, I’m really satisfied and glad I got this kit installed, SONY radio sounds great even my old speaker system (non HK), it is day-n-night difference from the original CD player radio.

Great – It was a great experience it took like 4 hours but it was a semi easy installation but when you put in your radio make sure to hook up the parking brack (either ground it or actually find a way to hook it to the parking brake) because I didnt and I couldn’t play video so I couldn’t make maps come on the radio screen anyway this was a great kit I just wish the panel tools came with the kit

Sony AV1000 Kit is awesome! – Recently bought 2002 330ci and the factory HK stereo needed help. Tried the iPhone kit but decided to change the unit completely. Great Carplay Solution for e46 – I purchased the XAV-AV5000 + installation kit for a 2002 325ci coupe that had the original business CD head unit. It works great, is very clean, and I love the ability to customize the steering wheel buttons.
There was one hiccup as it wasn’t clear which wire I connect the amplifier ON wire to in the harness. I figured it out, but maybe the installation video could be updated for the XAV-AV5000 system.
All in all, I highly recommend this setup for your e46 BMW. The Sony head unit is simple to use, Carplay works great, and the Enfig harnesses simplify the installation.

Finally! Carplay for my E46 – I spent over six months researching the best way to get a modern head unit into my 330ci with nav. I read countless forum postings, considered the pluses and minuses of various Chinese Android devices, but I couldn’t see putting that much money into something made by a company that nobody outside of the E46 cult had ever heard of.
I looked at the Enfig kits a couple of times, but there was no install video for a car like mine with nav. So I finally decided to bite the bullet and have a local installer put it in for me. I’ve done easy installs in my Miata and Mercedes 280CE, but I didn’t like the idea of running a cable all the way from behind the dash to the trunk.
Long story short, I couldn’t be happier. The installer complimented the design of the kit, the look is perfect, completely factory. All the steering wheel controls work perfectly. And it’s a Sony! Five stars.

Super thorough kit for E46. – I’ve installed quite a few double din head units into a variety of vehicles (Nissan, Honda, Mercedes, BMW, etc.) When shopping for a head unit for the E46, I came across Enfig and realized they had a complete solution that required no wiring.
This has literally got to be the most complete, well-thought-out kit on the market for the E46. From the 3D-printed mic that fits in the OEM location to the inclusion of every cable needed (including both styles of radio antennas), this was a plug-and-play affair. The YouTube videos answered any questions I had about pulling some of the pieces apart and made it so easy (2 hours R&R).
I really appreciate what you guys have done here and have recommended it to many of my fellow E46 enthusiasts who don’t want to fumble around with those buggy Android head units. I can’t believe you guys can include all of these pieces at the price point (literally the same as the MSRP of the unit), and it represents an incredible value.

Best install kit I’ve ever experienced – I ordered my kit on March 28th and it arrived April first, so quick shipping already started things off right. Needed a way to spend time while on quarantine, so I decided to take this on yesterday. Figured it would take all day. It honestly was done in under 4 hours including pulling all necessary interior pieces and running the wires alongside the factory loom so as to be a professional looking install. I’ve have never experienced such a complete kit.
Everything is plug and play, even the mic location. I went with the xav-ax7000 and I’m very happy with my decision. Also shout out to Christian for explaining to me UPS My Choice to make sure I got my package quickly and without having to worry about curbside theft. How easy Enfig makes an install – I’ve been looking for a simple, inexpensive solution to upgrade the radio in my ‘99 BMW 3 series e46 for a while now. To be honest, I have found a lot of expensive options to get the features I want in my sedan, but it’s hard to justify spending the money on a 21 year old but very dependable car. Enfig was Fantastic. My E46 had the ‘upgraded’ 2006 Harmon Kardon stereo with no Bluetooth. The new Sony stereo fits and works perfectly In addition, they upgraded my legacy microphone and I can make calls on the highway, with the roof and windows down, with no wind noise! As an extra bonus, I now have a USB-C plug nicely integrated into my dash below the AC controls.
