Product Features
- This is the most advanced radio installation harness we offer.
- The HILO box fixes low audio issue in your Audi.ย The signal of the factory radio is much higher (8-10 volts) than aftermarket radios (2-4 volts)
- The smaller box allows you to use your factory steering wheel controls with your aftermarket radio. You will need to purchase a SWCL (Steering Wheel Control Lead) to activate this feature since some cars do not have steering wheel controls. (see below)
- The smaller box reads the cars can-bus (data) wires. The following wires are transmitted to the factory radio through the can-bus wires. The small box converts the following wires into analog signals that your aftermarket radio can read.
Red– switched power turns the radio on and off with the key and keeps the radio on until you pull the key out of the cylinder.
Orange– Illumination wire dims radio when you turn on your lights.
Mint Green– Parking brake wire unlocks security features when your parking brake is engaged.
Purple with White Stripe– Backup camera reverse wire tells radio to Initiate back-up camera screen when you are in reverse.
Pink– Vehicle Speed Sense wire tells the radio how fast you are going to improve accuracy especially when you lose GPS or cellular signal.
- This harness is designed to connect directly into some older Blaupunkt brand radios.ย If you are not installing a Blaupunkt radio we have a PNP converter that allows you to connect to your new radio without cutting any wires.
Additional Information
- The knobs on the HILO box adjust the volume of the amplified speakers in the car. If you have Bose all the speakers are amplified. If you do not have Bose usually only the rear speakers and sub are amplified.
- Not all the wires on the cars harness will be used.
- Most cars that use this harness also use the AAA-VWAUD5 antenna adapter below.

top of the line! – I bought this for my 07 A4 after dealing with the wrong harness from other car audio shops. I bought the AUD3-HILO, pioneer PNP harness, steering wheel control harness, antenna adapter and dash kit. Everything plugged in to each other perfectly. Worked first try. The HILO adapter also has volume adjustment controls for the front and rear speakers which i did not know. Audi A3 8P Install – Purchased a mounting kit, the Hi-Lo wiring harness, antennae adapter, steering wheel control, and a microphone for my 2011 Audi A3 Quattro.
Everything connected very well, and the install was a breeze!
The wiring harness was very clean, i had to cut and splice almost no wires, just had to ground the parking brake wire and connect the reverse wire to the camera.
I purchased the painted mounting kit to match my dash, it matches perfectly! Wanted to makes sure my wifes Audi looked clean, and mission accomplished!
Bonus – i just spoke to my father over the phone using the bluetooth connection and he said the sound quality was “Excellent”.

Needed for an Audi A4 B7 non-Bos HU replacement – This wiring harness combined with the SRWH-AUD3-HILO harness successfully provided the correct wiring circuit to power a new aftermarket HU for my Audi A4 B7 non-Bose setup. I originally went with another pair of harnesses against the recommendations by others, and I lost power going to my rears.
It turns out that, exactly as described by enfig’s product description, aftermarket HUs typically provide 2V output. Audi’s Symphony II+ HU provided 6V output, and thus, the factory amp was expecting 6V. My new HU only provided 2V, and therefore, the up-converter supplied with enfig’s harness (the SRWH-AUD3-HILO harness) provided the 6V that the amp was expecting. Problem solved.
Everything was also plug and play, so that was a bonus.
These harnesses are more expensive than other harnesses, but do you want your system to work or not? Because that’s basically the choice here.

Superb experience – I came across Enfig Car Stereo while looking to upgrade the internals of my B6 2004 Audi S4. Switching out the stock RNS-E unit can result in a myriad of issues, and everything Iโd found online had pointed at Christian and Enfig for the fix.
I shot him and email and got a prompt reply, first chasing down exactly what make and model I had (Australian releases are different to EU/US), and then providing a list of components that would be required. He even was able to give some guidance in which brand of head unit would work well in my car.

Great Product and Support! – I almost never write reviews โฆ but this time I think it is a must. I was having trouble installing my new Alpine iLX-W650 in my 2007 Audi RS4 (B7). I brought the head unit and the harness from a well know online retailer and was told it was a simple install. After I received the head unit, the instruction were very inadequate. After a couple of semi-helpful but conflicting support calls, I researched and found the video by Christian at Enfig. I got the unit install but it sounded terrible and was barely functional.
After some frustration with the new head unit, I called Enfig and Christian answered the call. Within a couple of minutes he diagnosed the problem and sent an email with the parts he suggested would work better for my install. Enfig Harness for Audi TT Roadster – I purchased an Alpine ILX-207 audio/video receiver and wanted to install myself. Fortunately, I found Enfig Car Stereo before I started and was able to install with additional features steering wheel control and SiriusXM antenna. I completed the install without any cutting or splicing of wires. The HILO allowed me to bring out the sound of the rear speakers that had always seemed muffled.
I had the opportunity of speaking with Christian about one issue that turned out to be an oversight on my part. Cristian very patiently walked me through several troubleshooting steps that didnโt work out but Christian then offered to build me a custom harness that would solve one possibility. Turned this wasnโt necessary, as the problem was that I had missed connecting one the the Audi plugs into the Enfig first connection.
Without my mistake, I would estimate the install using the Enfig harness would have taken less than thirty minutes.

Excellent product, it ties in everything together! – Excellent product that allowed me to bring the audio system in my car (2011 Audi A3) to this century’s standards. I don’t understand why would automakers like VW/Audi use such an antiquated audio system in a 2011 year model. I have always been a proponent of OEM audio systems, but mine was so bad (satellite radio could not activate, sound was terrible, BT was very limited, etc.), that I decided to go aftermarket. I installed a Pioneer unit with apple car play, a backup camera, external satellite radio tuner, and this harness with control modules (and the PNP harness specific for Pioneer) allowed me to tie in everything together without needing to splice or cut a single wire. All steering wheel controls work as they should, sound quality is excellent, rear speakers output is fixed, etc. This product is very unique / custom, and I highly recommend it.

Easy assembly. – Few times that I ever write a review on anything but I feel that I had to for this product. I’ve never installed a stereo in a car before and always hesitated because it seem so intimidating but after purchasing a particular stereo that I wanted, I decided to do it on my own since my previous after market stereo for my Audi A4 2007 stopped working and went with a cheaper alternative. I originally spliced the cable cables from the stereo onto the aftermarket harness and I blew a fuse completely forgetting to unplug the battery and not really knowing how to do this type of work. Enfig,once again, PERFORMED! – I was having issues with the pioneer I installed in my Audi A3 8P. I put in an aftermarket Pioneer because I wanted wireless CarPlay, but for some reason, the unit was interfering with the carโs canbus (these freaking cars are all integrated). Hilo Box Did Its Job – I bought this HILO box to allow my rear speakers to work in my Audi A3. The HILO box did just that. I put the HILO box in the glove box so I can adjust it as needed. It is great to have a product available that allows you to use most of your factory options. Great product.

Seamless – I originally bought a harness from my local audio shop. Supposedly it was a typical install like every other car I’ve done. No, not at all. Couldn’t figure out what was wrong, hooked everything up like it was supposed to be done. Sounded terrible. THEN I decided to do my research and stumbled upon Enfig. I’m SOO glad I did. Awesome kit for MK2 Audi TT! – I bought everything recommended for my 2014 Audi TT roadster in preparation for installing a new Sony CarPlay unit. The install with Enfigโs kits makes things so easy even in my Bose equipped car. In my case, I did run into the โno audioโ issue when the installation was done but I have VCDS and found that the instructions in the forum that Enfig linked to fixed my issue easily. The factory amps now turn on and everything sounds great. Enfig is the choice for Audi/VW stuff.

I bought the harness and the antenna adapter and the sound system has never sounded this good in my audi. Amazing products/ customer support (UK) – Having bought a kit to fit my Sony stereo from a British garage (Halfords) it came to my horror whilst fitting it that nothing in the kit worked at all.

Dash kit and wiring – 5 stars! Dash kit fit perfectly in my 2012 Audi TT, looks factory. Bought all of the recommended harnesses, as someone new to all car electronics, I wanted to make the process as simple as possible. After following the enfig videos, I was able to easily install my new ATOTO stereo with steering wheel controls. My only issue, and no fault of enfig, was that I needed to disable the digital turn on through Vag-com to get the amp to work, which again, enfig has a great video. Thank you Enfig.

Perfect for complex wirings – I admit I got in a bit over my head swapping out the stock Audi + Bose stereo in our S4 for a new Alpine. The wiring was much more complex than I thought. This product is a plug and play. No cutting or butting new wires like what you find on ebay or amazon. What really help on this product is the knowledge and video that are on Enfig website almost a step bg step guide on the install. High recommend this product for a clean factory look.

This is a true plug-and-play, great quality harness. Audi and VW (’13 A3 TDI in my case) are tricky with aftermarket head unit installation. This harness made everything easy-peasy!
