Amazing OEM look and functionality – Install-
Take off the rear hatch covers, remove the license plate and the four nuts securing the rear latch. It has two clips that semi hold it into place, you will need to press those to release the unit.
Remove the power source using a small flat head screw driver. Then, take out the license plate bulb assemblies. There are two screws that hold the power source to the old one. Take those out and put them in a bag for storage. You’ll remove the power supply bracket and from the top, push the old unit out. You’ll need to take the gold tensioner from the old one and put in the new one.
Once this is done you’ll put the new unit into the old assembly. Freeding the cord through the hole that is in the assembly.
Since you are unable to reuse the screws, I was having an issue with the bracket staying down. I finally just used a hot glue gun to secure it. It finally would click with you would hit the button.
Overall, I’m excited to have this installed. It will make city parking a breeze.

clear and good – looks factory, and has good picture quality, ended up using the camera lines and not the one from the radio,

2006 Audi A3 install – Thought it would be cool to have a back up camera and it turns out the wife loves it so that’s good. As far as install it was a bit tough feeding wires through rubber grommet. I ended up having to cut the RCA wires to feed them through. To me it seems like the patch cable could be a little longer then it might not need to be cut (of course just this car). Audi also has a weird plastic/metal “harness” for license lights and trunk latch and could only use one screw so I actually milled the camera housing down so I could install 2 screws under Audi “harness”. Just what I did, but would work other way fine I’m sure. Camera housing was mirror of Audi (right/left) but don’t think that effected install. I did have to transfer metal spring clip from Audi to camera. Clip helps trigger/latch return after being pressed. Overall, everything worked out in the end.

Great piece of kit. I had to drill a small hole in the plastic trim that holds this trunk release to pass through the video cable. The RCA end of the video cable was too large to fit through the rubber grommet from the hatchback to the car body, so I cut the plug off and reattached it after routing the wires.
